Incoloy Stainless Steel 926 is a super austenitic stainless steel containing 6% molybdenum and improved performance by adding nitrogen. The nickel and chromium it contains make it have good corrosion resistance in a wide range of corrosive environments. This alloy has good corrosion resistance to non oxidizing acids such as sulfuric acid and phosphoric acid. Its high molybdenum content and nitrogen enable it to resist pitting and crevice corrosion, while the copper content enhances its corrosion resistance to sulfuric acid.
